Newbie on the loose

Forget the seed catalogues. Trading seeds is a great way to expand your garden with new plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, shrubs, and trees.

I should

I am a first time flower gardener long time vegetable gardener with no seeds to start my first flower garden.
I was hoping that maybe some people out there could help out a newbie and send some extra seeds you may have
and some small flower arrangement ideas for a backyard

We have seeds, but most are perennials.

As for arrangement ideas, I would consider that a personal thing.....everyone needs to make their own designs, be they good, bad or indifferent! Trial & error is a wonderful thing.

The poll doesn't seem to be working but I say "Go For It"

I agree with Sharon, arrangement is a personal thing. Do you want mixed borders? Should you include shrubs and trees as well as perennials and planters of annuals?
Look for some books on garden design and pick up magazines like Canadian Gardening for inspiration.

If you tell us what you like and an idea of what your space is like we can give you some pointers.
