Has anyone heard of these? I saw them online. They are post supports you put into the ground using either a jackhammer or sledgehammer. You don’t have to dig a hole and cement the post in.

Yes I think I know what you are talking about, I haven't used them myself but I have seen them and when we moved in here, the previous owners had a hottub that they took with them and I was left with a post that I had to remove. I started digging and trying to get that thing out of the ground, man-oh-man I worked like a dog, finally I got it out and it was like a long spike with the post attached to the top.

I don't know about putting them in, but I can tell you they sure hold good and are a bugger to get out. Which I suppose would be a good thing to keep your posts in place.

Pretty sure you will find them at any building supply store, Home Depot; Home hardware; Rona etc.

But they aren't very strong

Funds do not allow for it this year but I would like to put in a fence where my driveway meets up with the neighbour's property but there is no dirt just pavement. Instead of digging up the driveway I thought these might work.

We got ours at Home Depot and they are only about $15 each...well...when we got them.

Well...the idea is pretty good but how firm they will be is dependent on the type of soil that they will be pounded into. Generally, a undisturbed clay is best(not a backfilled area) & pounding them in is not going to be easy so if you are a petite female or nerdy male....forget it.

I recommend a post hole digger (rented) and poured cement, and set your fence posts in this. 40+ years of experience at taking shortcuts here, and we've gone back to the Old Way, every time.

Mind, I'm awfully taken with zigzag fencing, it even kept meandering goats in...however, you likely are in a subdivision and space is minimal!
