The Mayflower is Nova Scotia’s provincial flower

it is a flower I have not seen in years

The fragrance is to die for

There has been so much clear cutting the last few years they say there are hardly any of them left now

They bloom only in May

Last year I went looking for them as I knew where to look at a teen ager

I couldn’t even get into the area now it is so over grown

I wonder if they grow in other provinces

Have any of you seen them in your area??

They are all over Edmonton and beginning to open leaf. Should see flowers very soon. I have about 10 on my block alone. It is probably in about every 25th yard here. Its one of the first to flower in spring. If we hadn't got a bad storm in mid april they probably would have finished flowering already. They were leafing out on april 15th.
