Ron, that reminds me of years ago when my parents grew tomatoes in hothouses. They went from ground to ceiling but I have never seen any growing like that outside. You must have good supports for them. A very healthy looking crop.

Nice bushy plants Ron, but how will the sun get through to ripen the tommytoes?

I think they ripen in the dark Joan. :wink:

The question is how will I get in there to pick them. :roll:

The wood is clear between the knots.

Kwho is de-suckering only cause she doesn't want to end up with a jungle like Ron's!!!

I didn't de-sucker last year and put 100 toms in the freezer plus what I ate and gave away plus made 2 bathces of chow

I just measurd my plants this morning. They are as tall as I am 5'4" then a bit

I picked 5 cukes this am. will make mustard relish later today

My reference regarding 'to pinch or not to pinch' states... "Tomato Vines should be pinched but bush tomatoes do not need pinching". But if you're buying from a nursery half the time they don't know the difference, so the real answer is to grow your own from seed. Then do as Ron does and start them early.
