/trading with other places?

Forget the seed catalogues. Trading seeds is a great way to expand your garden with new plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, shrubs, and trees.

These are the USDA regulations regarding seeds sent to the US. I is possible to send seeds to the US but they may be seized at the border. Before brining in any seeds it is wise to make sure that the plant isn't classified as a weed in your area and that it won't displace natural plants.

Trish sent me seeds a few years back with no problem.

Yes, but those seeds were packaged by a seed company and followed the Cda rules (I checked with Agriculture Canada).

I might investigate getting a seed import permit under the USDA's "Small Seed" program. It looks like a lot of hoops to jump through but if I had a permit I could get seeds from Cda.

Thanks for posting the information, Lyn.

Unless they changed the laws in the past year, you always used to be able to and I have for several years

I did check the laws and yes you can send seeds

You can't send plants because disease can be on plants but not on seeds
