Supper Nov. 21
Jeanne is away AGAIN for a few days & I got home late & not wanting to eat leftover chicken stew. So, I took a loin steak out of the freezer & cut it into thin strips so it would thaw quickly. I also peeled & partially cooked two small taters in the microwave, sliced them up & fried them in some olive oil. When they were nicely browned I moved them to the edge of the pan & quickly fried the steak.

Now that does look good Ron. No fried onions?
Hope you avoid that storm but another one coming through for Monday.

That does look tasty Ron. I'm with BW though, where's the onions?
I was stuck for ideas for supper tonight too - not feeling great, as another cold is trying to get ahold of me!
So, I asked my husband what he fancied that was easy and tasty. He didn't know you'd had it last night, but said 'Chili'. Easy and tasty it was too! 2-bean, 4-chili, with lean ground hamburger. No pic though!

That is why dishes are in the freezer for days like that.
I am sure hubby was happy
I can't get rid of my cold, lungs are still full of fluid and a lot of coughing yet

That looks good, Ron. Meat and potatoes on a cold day...that will put hair on your chest!
We had sole with a lemon-dill sauce along with oven baked french fries and cooked carrots. The sole was bought in a 2 kg bag at Costco...too much packaging if you ask me; every piece was wrapped in its own plastic! However, I thawed these pieces out (still sealed) by putting them in warm water in the sink, which literally took 5 minutes.

I never even thought of onions but if I had, they would have been with the meal.
