I made a big mistake, I cooked frozen fries in the over as I was not about to heat up the frier just for me. God they were awful. However, the Buffalo drums were excellent.

I can't remember the last time I had frozen fries, cooked in the oven or deep fried! Now, home-made fries, deep fried to-boot, are, IMO, one of the best inventions ever made! Can't remember the last time I had those either!
I usually peel a spud, cut it into french-fry sized pieces, or larger, toss them in a little oil, s&p, and cook them in the oven at around 400 for about 20 - 25 minutes, until browned.

Tonight we had Prime Rib; roast potatoes; roast acorn squash; onion gravy; and horseradish.

I don't think I've ever met any!
The prime rib was a 'special' we happened on at A & P a few weeks ago. Very small, only 1+ meals, but nice for the occasional treat - like your tenderloin steaks a couple of weeks ago!

Ron,
I don't deep fry very often, so we usually make our fries in the oven. I agree with you, they aren't the most appetizing when they are baked. I find that the McCain Superfries, with all the extra oil and coating, gives the best "oven" results. It's better than the regular frozen fries anyway.

We had dry garlic ribs, rice and boiled mixed veggies.
