My dad's younger brother
Excerpts from his obituary that were printed over the Canadian flag:
Uncle Jack took dad & me to see the Arrow & I got to sit in the cockpit. Not too many ever sat in that position.

Ron,
How old were you at the time (sitting in the Arrow)? My 11 year old son is totally fascinated with everything plane-related. His main interest was cars until I bought a couple of plane books from the library discard bin. He has become a human encyclopedia on the subject ever since.

Nice bit of family history Ron. Did anyone get a photo of you in the Arrow?

I'm sorry for your loss, Ron.
Your Uncle sounds like he was a wonderful and dedicated man.

A wonderful obit for a fine man! He must've been a colourful character to know as a kid. I recall you were once into remote-control planes.(?)

I was about 16 when we went to see the Arrow & Uncle Jack was so proud of it. He was devastated when the program was canceled.
Nobody took a pic, a camera was likely not permitted but I am not sure. I never saw much of him all through life as they always lived far away. When we got married he was serving in Germany.
