Also, I was trying out in flight photography, which is kind of fun. This is a snowy egret.

Those green herons always look grumpy! Nice capture of the Snowy Egret in flight! I'm impressed. I haven't gotten to that stage at all!

These huge pelicans are amazing and suprizingly hard to photograph in flight.

Nice pics of featherbutts Kat.
Agree that the Green Heron does look rather grumpy, but then they always do. We were fortunate that one came and spent half an hour in one of our trees. We don't live on the waterfront now but we're still fairly close, so maybe that was the reason why.
We also get lots of Blue Herons here.

I still say the green heron doesn't look very green!

Kat, my absolute favourite of all of them is the Pelican...LOOK at the feathers!!!
