Re: Snow shapes [image test]
Well, I got to actually see them HERE yesterday but got called away before I could respond...today was surprised to see padlocks instead of interesting snow shape pictures!
I suspect little squirrel hoped you'd scattered something delicious to eat!
I am looking forward to seeing more and more...your work is changing, BB...new perspectives. GOOD WORK!

Strange, everyone is talking about padlocks and not seeing the pictures but I see them free and clear and I checked them several times. There have been other times when people are talking about someones pictures and I'm in a haze wondering what they're talking about. I really like the one with the squirrel, looks like he had to think about whether the drink was worth the risk. Edie

Edie, the funny thing is I can still see the photos as well, which is why I wasn't sure if the link would break or not when I relocated them from my New Photos Gallery to the Landscape Gallery. It seems that for some the link held while it didn't for others...very strange indeed!
Please note everyone, had I known this thread was still of any interest I wouldn't have tampered with the image locations and next time I'll leave be until the thread drops right off the bottom. My bad.
Edie, the squirrel was definitely being very careful of the thin ice edge and didn't seem to even notice me up on the foot bridge above him.
Thanks Lizzy and yes, I've had to expand my subject range as I'm having trouble finding birds right now and I've got to click at something!
Bonjour Jazz!
Hi Kat and thanks...yes snow is a toughie for sure as I'm sure you've "been there done that" with your landscape photography. I find that early morning, late afternoon or under light cloud is the best time to avoid those really harsh shadows. Unless that is what one is going for as I've seen some very interesting effects with harsh shadows. That's the beauty of photography... there are no real rules and you can let your creativity run free! (Unless of course you're photographing a wedding then there would be some rules..such as the bride and groom should be in at least some of the photos....lol)
Funny how removing photos gets more notice than adding them...

Not so Carol, it just shows that folk are looking but not commenting on the ones that show. I do it all the time, look but not comment but you know I do. It would only be by oversight that I missed one of your photos.

All pictures are still clear, and round, for me!
That's how I see the pics BB. Lots of lovely round curves.

Kat, I still can see the pics but that I think, is because my computer saw them before the link was taken down & my puter has stored the images. I know there is puter talk for this but I am like a woman & a car, I can drive it but do not know how it works.
