Canceled because of too much snow???

My sis and I were just lamenting the other day that they have the one here far too early...it rained through the whole parade in mid-November making for a miserable time. Soggy clowns are NOT a pretty sight!

Actually...it was the blowing conditions that cancelled it....I guess Santa couldn't see through the white-outs...maybe Rudolph was sick!

Oh that is disappointing for the children and all the people wo worked so hard to make it happen

The same thing happened for the New Glasgow parade too

The day before was a major snow storm and it was not possible to ge the streets and idewalks cleaned in time

The route here is about 12km much to much to clean ina short time

My eldest daughter is the head of the comittee

Soem people took her head off for cancelling but Halifax got the storm too and many groups from around rhe province were to be in that parade including the RCMP from Halifax and they were goingt o march in their red serge anf they refused to come as many groups cancelled

So this was not the committe's fault but someone has to take the heat

I hope kelly in your town people are more senisble and undertanding
