Cedar boughs
Does any one know how long cedar will last after it is cut?
I make a centre piece each year with cedar and pine but I cut it a 3-4 days before the day and it lasts til New years and still looks pretty good
But I was wondering if it would last more than a week without water if I made it two weeks before Christmas day

Re: Cedar boughs
Cedar lasts pretty well if it's kept cool and damp. If you can wait at least a week that should be OK.

It is pretty warm in the house and no way of keeping it damp other than to spray it now and then
Yes I can wait a week more. I was thinking of getting it made a bit earlier to have it on my table longer as I always enjoy things like that
I see some in the stores and wonder people are buying them now and will they last and stay nice for another 3-4 weeks and if they will is spraying with water enough an that is hard to do with ribbons on it.
I don't make wreaths so much but just a piece for the table. The cedars don't seem to miss pieces from the trees.
