Downy Woodpecker (whoo-hooo!!!)

American Tree Sparrow...had a whole little flocklet of them! They winter in this area, but spend their summers waaay up north as far as Hudson's Bay and across to Alaska.
A rather puffed up American Godlfinch..it was c-c-cold day yesterday!

Superb pictures as always and can't wait to open your post in anticipation. So happy that the birdies are finding you. Edie

I knew it would not be long before the feathered population would find you . . . they can sniff out a friend pretty quick.

Nice shots Carol. Looks like a Manitoba maple is replacing the Redbud for photo ops.

Great pics. I dont know how you get such great shots. Every picture of a bird I try to take ends up looking like some second rate abstact oil painting, or worse yet, they always tend to turn at the click of the camera. Thousands of pics of bird arse's, and nary a one as good as yours. As I am starting to believe that I am photograph impaired, its nice to see pics as well taken as yours. Looking forward to seeing more

Oh so nice BB as always
I don't have as many this year. I stopped feading them first of the summer when coons were driving me nuts
Now I think the birds forgot where I live but they have no problem finding you
Don;t feel alone Dan. I am lucky I can snap the button
I am terrible with cameras. I dump 85% of what I take
