Eve, don't blame yourself for not catching the worm problem earlier. Tapeworm is very hard to diagnose until you actually see either the segments in the stool or the actual worm.

Thanks Eeyore. If I hadn't noticed that one little 'section' of the worm, I'd never have known to look for the driedup 'rice like' thingies in her bed, etc. It was not a nice surprise at the time to have a little wriggly worm staring in my face
but for her sake (and the sake of my nose) I'm really glad that I saw it.
