I haven't been through my Js yet, but wanted to make a comment.
Northpine: Your Jackmani looks like a Jackmanii Superba. Much larger and brighter flowers than the regular Jackmani. I had both in my last house, and they were really quite different.

BBQ, you could be right. I ordered it from Lindenberg's and sometimes I find their descriptions a bit sketchy. It was just a wisp of a thing when I received it in 2006. I wonder if it will ever get to look anything like Blossom's gorgeous specimens! WOW.

Jays.. grey jays also known as camp robbers or whiskey jacks

Jackmanii superba- bought last year so it is still pretty spindly
