Ralph alas is not a unisex name, Smitty, unless "ette" is suffixed, but doesn't seem to affect his popularity in this fast-paced contest! Heartfelt sighs for Sam and Bob.

druther druthers drather drathers dithers dothers

K, can't understand why druthers is only one considered a non-word by spellckek. Looks like "dothers" is not a real word either. But who needed to know that? laffs

I agree a name starting with an 'A' should be in the running. Or at least some names pertaining to the characteristics of an avo. Like 'Oily', or 'Omega3' or "Pit'
or how about Oda-Cova. (avo backwards)

Ooooo!
I REALLY like Oda-Cova! Oddie for short! Too bad it isn't in the list, would have voted for that for sure!

... on a totally unrelated vein, once knew a white cat named "Blanche".... what I'm trying to say [laf!] is that I agree the best names are the ones that reflect the "being". But hey!, I just found this thread so a little late in the game to be dropping my two cents worth!

Ive never met a Roberta who calls herself Bob, have you?

I still prefer a female name. Who put up that list anyway? was it Ralph? or someone else?....Can't Ralph have his pick of any and all we come up with? Why limit the list?

I have to agree with OGrubber. I like names that represent something in it's nature.

Hence "Mr Twisty" (Corkscrew Hazelnut) "spike" (Sea Holly) and "Mr. Duck" (errrr Rubber Duck that resides in my birdbath).

PS. "Mr Website" is still crashing repeatedly, but it could be that "Mr Laptop Wireless NIC" is failing.

"Ralph" is the winning name!

We should have a name plate for Ralph by the end of the week. Thanks to all who voted and/or provided suggestions. Of course, it's impossible to please everyone, but I think Ralph is an excellent name for the young fella. I'm now going to close this thread, in favour of the original thread. Thanks!
