No blooms on painted daisy just leaves

Hi, I have a pot of painted daisies that I planted from seed last year.

I assume that this summer I will see flowers, however that is not the case.

All I see are dense ferny looking leaves. If I cut back the leaves will I see my painted daisies bloom this year?

HI! I have Painted Daisys too. Mine took 2 years to produce blooms. The first year I got all kinds of pretty fern like leaves. It's worth the wait. I love the different shades of pink Daisys.
