Re: Help me identify this plant!
The leaves look very similar to a primrose but I can't be sure that is what it is.

A chinese coworker who gave to your mom that is a good plant. The leaves look thicker and hairy smell the leaves is a bit strong that some people use as a medication like for coughing, taste bad but work very well.

Yeah, the leaves do smell nice, but when you taste the leaves, they're awful. I'm not really sure if it is a herb or not, but thanks for the information!

Hi!
The botanical name is Plectranthus amboinicus (click this name in google) , but it is called by different names depend on the country.
I am frenetically looking for one[/b]. It has medicinal properties, it is good to make infusion when your stomach feels heavy. I used to have it when I was leaving in South America, I love the smell...some people use it as condiment for food, like a herb.

Hi, I don't know if you have had a reply to your question, but I do believe your plant is a herb and it is called Spanish Thyme. It is not available here(Quebec, Toronto) but it is multiplied by clippings.
