Ailing Oleander
Does anyone know what might be causing black marks (looks like it is etched into the bark) on the stems of my Oleander houseplant? The tree is about 40 years old. It developed these marks slowly last fall and most of its leaves were drying up. I trimmed it back extensively. It is growing profusely again but I see the black marks are developing once again. I always put it outside for the summer because it likes a lot of sun. I don't know if this is heat stress or a fungus or what it is but this has not happened before.
Thanks.

I can't tell you what it is but it doesn't look healthy. Is there a good greenhouse in your area? If so take the cutting in to them and ask for advice.
