It is possible, mine were potted in a mix that had a fair proportion of sand and so was very free draining. I also had them sealed in plastic bags after I planted and watered them the first time, and didn't water them again until I noticed the tip of a sprout (at which time they came out of the bag and were treated like normal plants).
Good to hear you have a couple coming up, now the fun begins! Mine have recovered somewhat and seem to be growing a few new, smaller leaves to replace the ones lost. Hope yours do well, the flowers are beautiful (though I wish I had chosen a brighter colored variety).

So I guess they don't need too much water at first ? I guess now I'll just water regularly.

The callas have finally grown but not the flower yet... does anyone know when I can expect it to bloom and if I should be doing anything special ?
