Perhaps people should just log out, clear cookies, closer browser and log in again.

Of course. I did that back when I first began having trouble.
Co-incidentally, log-in today was a first try snap. ....

The log-in issue still remains and deleting the cookies did not help. I'm disappointed.

I'm still having to log in - not quite every time, but enough to make this whole business frustrating.
I'm a little embarrassed that this is so shoddy. Not a great advertisement for Canadian technology.

Ditto BBQ. This problem just doesn't seem to want to be corrected. Its been going on far too long. Having to sign in yet again this a.m.

Well I see what my problem has been for the last few days. There's one big honkin' Flash object covering over half of my screen. It completely covers the Login link. I won't let it load and it won't go away . . . yet!!! *Insert grinning devil icon here 'coz the Flash is covering that too!*
