Finches are back!

We have a pair of finches that come hang out with us every Spring and Summer. They are such a pretty yellow. This photo was taken through the window of our kitchen. They are easily spooked and so we are careful not to frighten them off.

Sweet! We only get purple finches and house finches during the fall and winter.

Love those little American Goldfinches. They stay with us all year round here in South Eastern Ontario. At this time of the year though their colouring becomes very bright - almost as if they're dressing up in all their finery for the courting-to-come! lol
