Saving a post?

Postby Northpine » Jun 13, 2012 9:13 am

Just wondering if this site has a method for saving an informative post.
Lately I've noticed several posts with good info I'd like to be able to refer back to, but don't know how to keep them.
ie, the post on why peonies don't bloom, or recently the one on treating scale. I don't have scale, but might in the future, and I'll never remember where I saw this treatment.
Other sites I visit have a clip it feature but I don't see it here. Or am I missing something? Thanks

I've wondered that too Marie. I think it must be possible as Mary saves all sorts of bits and bobs related to this forum, which she seems to be able to access at will.
When I come across some information I want to save on this site I resort to copying and pasting the information into a Word document, and then saving it to a Gardening file I have.

1. You have to be logged in.
2. You have to be within the topic you want to save.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of said topic.
4. Click on bookmark.
5. It will then be saved within your "bookmark" lists in the "user control panel".

See pics.

There is also the "Subscribe" function. I didn't check it out, but it's likely standard across the board for all forum software. With this tool you will (or should be) notified each time someone replies to the post in question.

That will be one easy payment for this super reply please.

Well thank you Dumbo. My old eyes missed that completely.
I'll go and try it out.

Grasping outstretched hand, shaking it, with a sincere verbal thank you - with a very large smile! Is that big enough? lol

No. You can't lick the fingers that Captain Brenda of Bay of Quintathing touched. Arrr. MINE!

But nice brown-nosing to get a taste. The spider was a good one. Close, but no cigar for you.

I will never wash this hand again.
