I think you will be very happy with the results. Below is a pic of 'Princess Victoria Louise' the season after transplant. She is reigning over the red cabbage.
You could dig your poppies or take root cuttings in late summer. Usually, I just dig and move but, in the future, to propagate this poppy, I'm going to try root cuttings. We'll see how that goes. LOL
