A very good season for butterflies!
The butterfly garden is very busy this summer with lots of different visitors. Here's a few to share.
Question Mark on white butterfly bush (It is the actual name-laf, due to the ? marking on the underside of it's hindwing)

Monarch and a honeybee in there too.

And a tiny Hummingbird Moth. Lots of these little guys around!

Thaaaaaaaannnkkk-yoooouuu Smitty!
I've never seen so many hummer moths as this summer so far. And different kinds of them! A gorgeous adult male hummingbird arrived here yesterday and I hope the flowers in "his" garden are enough to keep him around for a while! He's already claimed the Bee Balm patch for himself, but a juvie is giving him a run for it-laf!
Thanks so much K!

Butterflies are so pretty! You've got some great pics here! I almost had a perfect shot of a Monarch this spring but it flew just as I snapped the pic. All I got was an orange and black blur across the image. Not gonna lie, I was a little bummed. lol Would have made such a great photo.

Thank-you Kara & Clara!
Kara I'm sure you'll get another chance at a Monarch and will get it next time for sure! They're like buses...another one will be along soon.
