I've mentioned before that my tomato plants, although shorter this year, are very healthy-looking and are producing a nice number of tomatoes.
I went out just now to do a bit of weeding around them, and I can't quite believe that the first ripe tomato of the year has arrived!

This is a gorgeous yellow. Certainly the best yellow we've tried. I grew Carolina Gold for many years, but this is far better:

Gold Dust:

Sarah Schwarze - starting to turn pink:

San Marzano, (Elongated) - also just starting to change colour:

Some of the other varieties are on the point of changing colour too:
Italian Noire
Bonnie Best

The Blacks are still very green but healthy-looking.

Beautiful Brenda! My poor tommie plants look like chopped salad, thankfully I hav some still in small pots that didn't get transplanted and I can replace them and hope for the best.

Looks good, Brenda. My tomatoes are a real mix this year. I had to replant several varieties, so some of my plants are over four feet tall and some are a few inches tall!

I had my first Sungold cherry tomato this week, does that count?
