Does anyone know who I am?
I have had this mystery plant at home and at work for the past 6 years but really do not know what it is - can you help identify it please?
The top part of the leaves are green and the underside is burgundy and it has trumpet flowers with a deep burgundy throat and two very long skinny stamen (I think!) protruding from the trumpet flower and they are quite long! The flowers are not all out in this picture as the stamen thingies are still developing!
Does anyone have a name for it?

Re: Does anyone know who I am?
I'm thinking maybe type of columnea? There are so many different species though (200+) that it would take some serious sleuthing to narrow it down. We used to have one we called "goldfish plant" that looked similar to that in our greenhouse days. The hummers used to sneak into the greenhouse and go to it-lol
There are several families of plants that share the name lipstick plant, but yes it could be one of them.

Hmmm ... food for thought ... I'll do some sleuthing about lipstick plants and see what I come up with ... thanks!

Yes, I do ... I found it so thanks to everyone who helped. It is a Black Pagoda Lipstick plant (Aeschynanthus longicaulis) and it is my plant exactly and apparently well sought after also ... according to the forums I have read.
Good job ... thanks!
