well ive been experimenting in all kinds of ways and one of them was comparing ground grown vs a wicking aka self watering pot i made myself. my conclusion was that the perfect conditions in self watering pots allow the plants to flurish and they have grown multiple stocks and grown past the max height marked on the seed packs.

The effect of natural growth is certainly better than the potted good nutrition can be fully absorbed.
