How to prune indoor hibiscus ?

Update: I see new growth on the tips of where I cut it.
My question is how does a new stem grow now where the stem is old and from the original plant ?

So as I see some new leaves and old big leaves starting to yellow out new leaves around the stems, is there anything I should be doing to promote blooms in the coming weeks or is this being overly optimistic ?

OK here's an update on my hibiscus after I pruned it in June...

It has grown back pretty full, but when can I expect any blooms ?!?
