What are you reading now?
Book Club has started up again and our first book this year is "A Thousand Splendid Suns". I read it a few years ago and it was very, very good. Disturbing on many levels but a good read and well written. I'm also going to be reading "Before Versailles" which I won as a "First Read" on Goodreads.com
I've just finished "The Gods of Gotham" which was very good as well. Great characters and a historical romp through 1845 New York with the implementation of the first official police force.
Also recently finished "The Given Day" by Dennis Lehane, another well written book.
The one book I read this summer that I did not care for was "Ten Thousand Lovers" by Edeet Ravel. A very weak writer and poorly developed characters IMO.

Haven't been into reading novels for a long time .. I have lots of reference books on gardening and aquariums, but by far the most of my reading is from prowling the net and interaction in forums

Shhhhhhh! You're not supposed to let anyone know! Only when asked directly, and only when that other person has admitted it first, do you put up your hand and admit you are reading it too! lol
Made a stir in my house too

Made a stir in my house too. And at my book club too! We were supposed to be discussing another book, but somehow the topic veered off, lol
