What are you reading now?
Re: What are you reading now?
heh I have everyone of those books. They're great. Boys like them, that's for sure. My nephews have started reading those over the past year.

It's a soft cover. tsk tsk.
You better start paying attention if you're going to research the book.
As you can see below, the book is indeed hardcover.
Got my latex ready, but, I haven't Lysoled the book yet. Once I do I'll start reading it.

Not sure why yours has a blue spine and border.???? That is not how the books look in the stores. Must be a special edited version the library photocopied,
, it also looks thinner.
This is how they are supposed to look. Softcover.

Blue spine? That thing next to the book? A kids note pad.
Our library actually buys real books. Not these small & tiny el-cheapo pocket book things. Bet you & Kelly are jealous.
Hard is where it's at. You can use it to smack things after. Can't do that with a soft cover.

No not the spiral note book, YOUR book is blue. All the way around.
You faked it! You printed out the cover from google, cut it out with your kiddie scissors, and glued it to a blue journal. And are now posing as if you have the book! I thought the fact that you could pick up the book at the library the same day as you ordered it was suspect! My library has a waiting list in the hundreds.
You, Sir, are a fraud! Shame on you

Very good catch CC! Marc, shame on you. I thought your scientific mind would force you to investigate.

Re: What are you reading now?
So, Anyway!
I am currently reading a book I bought for my Dad last year, and have now borrowed back:
'Made in America' by Bill Bryson. The subtitle is 'an informal history of the english language in the United States'.
Back in the days I went to university, I enjoyed some linguistic classes, and this book is a fascinating look at the origins of may words and phrases in current and former use in North American English.
We have liked this author before; he writes interesting non-fiction mainly in regards to history, and tells amusing stories to keep it all together.
All in all, a nice break from my usual historical murder mysteries!
