This morning in Aston Cantlow
Waiting for hubby to sort out the best way to have a bath in the huge, high, claw-legged tub. It took me longer to get out of it than to get into it!!
Took a minute's walk down the lane to the pub and snapped these pics this morning. It's a lovely clear, blue sky, day, but fairly chilly. There was rain during the night - nothing new!
We're off to Alcester, only a few minutes away, to check out this old Roman town.

This is The King's Head, the local pub, where they sell fine ales, ciders and great food:
Village Hall, directly opposite the pub:
Returning to our cottage up this lane, which runs at the side of the pub. The church gate can be seen and also the church tower:

Lovely, B. I hope you will take some interior photographs as well. I can see where a lot of the building styles come from in BC, from these photographs.

Thanks for the kind words.
Ron: Yes, that's Virginia Creeper. It's everywhere here, looking spectacular on a lot of houses and buildings.
Kat: I do have some interior pics of the cottage and will post them another time with perhaps a few more interior shots of other places.
We did a lovely car tour today, starting off at Alcester, a very old Roman town. An exquisite little town that has been kept beautifully.
Then we headed off to see a few more villages in the Cotswolds that we had not visited before. It's a gorgeous area, and almost all the buildings and houses are built with Cotswold stone, which is a creamy yellow stone - most attractive. This is an area where monied people usually have a home, including Princess Anne. There are some gobsmackers of homes!
Had lunch in a village pub - DH had a pint of beer and I had a G&T!

Great pictures, BBQ. : )
From seeing all the beautiful Fall colours in your pictures, it looks like you are not missing the Fall season here. England does look nice in the Fall too.
Like Kelly, I would also love to see pictures of the Cotswold cottages if you are in the area. I love the look of those thatched roofs.
Thank you for showing us your adventures in England!
Stay safe, stay happy.
