Fall colors... 4 photos
I finished my big stinky work summary paper for this fall, YAY!!! (what a snoozer that thing is) so now I can play for a few days. Here are some fall colors from the back yard today.

Love the pictures Katherine! The Ninebark is outstanding. You know, in some ways I think it's a little bit of torture being in this site - I keep seeing plants I would like to have but I don't have any space left. . . . . . . . . . . . . . unless of course I see a plant I can take out to make room for a new one!! (evil laugh)
Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration.

Quite lovely, Kat!
We have now got our covering of snow - 10 cm last night and 15 more coming down now. so we are looking at white, and more white for the next 5-6 months.

Heidi, if you can't get your carrots dug up now (through the snow) IF the snow should magically disappear, you will want to dig them asap. When I left mine in til Spring, they sadly were only fit for the horses! ;-( 5 - 6 mo. of winter really sucks unless you love winter sports (I did when I was younger). Ah well, it does give you lots of time to research and plan for Spring.

Awwwe! Thanks you guys. I just wish I had more time right now.
And its going fast here too. Not quite as fast you folks out east, but we have snow on the ridges down low, at 1200 meters, which is very close. Sun Peakes and Red Mnt are opening I think. Im ready to dust off my skiis and get my XC stuff together... who hooo!
