30 October
We definitely dodged a bullet here in Belleville. The wind picked up a little and we had some rain, but nothing terrible. We were lucky. The devastation on the eastern seaboard of the US and the Toronto area makes us thankful for our luck. We hope we don't have to pay for the lotsa luck we seem to get in this particular area!
I was busy in the office this morning, but the afternoon seemed to go so slowly. Apart from a few household chores I really didn't really have much to do!
Hubby was working outside the home today, so I was all alone!
Supper was roasted chicken breast with a rice mixture, (onions, garlic, red pepper, peas), and fresh asparagus. I made a light white sauce for moisture.

Dinner does look delicious!
We were fortunate here but for some damage to the old wooden fence. We were really expecting far worse and the Hydro did stay on for a change in my little area.

Heavy rain and high winds here last night with huge waves on Georgian Bay. We spent all day yesterday in the backyard putting away anything that could go flying through the air. Patio furniture and all containers were emptied and stored away.
You have one yummy looking dinner there, bbq.
We had home-made oxtail soup with garlic/cheese biscuits for dinner tonight.

That looks delicious. Mac and cheese with mixed steamed veggies and fresh tomatos...no photo, sorry.
