Had a family of them born under one end of the garage. The mother had become quite accustomed to me, and I would toss her scraps from the garden, and in return she would sit close to me and whistle and chirp as I was working in the garden. Her young on the other hand, were brats, and they relished lupine flowers. Since they were not afraid of me, (I believe they were laughing at me), they caused a bit of destruction in the gardens. The nice thing is, at about three weeks, out of the den, they travel at least 2 km away from their birthplace, to new locales
