Cedar Hedging

Postby livlou » Apr 17, 2013 8:05 pm

Anyone had any luck with a good cultivar of Cedar for hedging? I am in Nova Scotia and Emerald is overused and always looks bad after winter. Proven Winners has a new one called 'American Pillar', fast grower, 36" max width and hardy. Problem is that none of the nurseries carry it. Wondering if anyone has had good luck with another cultivar or even a juniper. It is for a screen.
