Help with flower identification?

Postby dulse » Jun 30, 2013 10:37 pm

Hello there,

I love these flowers that I've seen in people's gardens in Montreal. Can anyone tell me what they're called? Is it just a Day Lily? Does anyone have any tips for planting them?

They are Daylilies (genus Hemerocallis)....
There are hundreds of cultivars
They are very easy to grow......all have tuberous bulbs that will mutiply over time to increase the size of the plant....because they grow from a bulb, once established, they are very hardy, drought resistant, relatively pest and disease resistant and quite showy......
Good choice for any garden
