Help! I think I just killed my candy corn plant

Postby Kimmu-chan » Nov 27, 2013 1:31 am

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me save my candy corn plant (Brazilian firecracker). I have brought it inside for its first winter. It's in a pot by a sunny window, and for the past two months it's been fine. But recently some of its leaves started to turn black, like they've been burnt. Well, like the newbie I am I thought maybe it needed some water, BEFORE looking up the problem. Turns out I'm probably overwatering it. Is there a way to dry it out before it drowns?

Please help, this plant is the only green I'm going to see until May out here on the prairies.
