A garden in good hands

Tucked away among the stone walls and paths are rustic handmade pieces Betty has crafted from materials gathered around the property: Wattle fences were created out of birch wood cleared from the outlying acre, several arbours were made from trees and branches that were felled after a particularly destructive hurricane ripped through the area in 2003, and sticks cut and peeled by resident beavers are being transformed into benches.
