At the base of the garden, Jackie and Barry built an elevated spot for reading and napping beside a small storage shed, which boasts a rooftop vegetable garden—the perfect complement to the trio of planters that form a “herb garden” just outside the kitchen door. With extra ease in mind, they also pulled back the size of the flower beds on each side of the yard.
