‘Willemsoord' a ‘Murillo' sport, has carmine red flowers with white edging. Blooms mid-April. Height: 25 to 30 cm

Double late choices
‘Angélique' popular fragrant double, has pale pink flowers, flushed with paler and darker shades of pink, and lighter margins. Blooms in late April or early May. Height: 30 to 35 cm

‘Carnaval de Nice' white flowers are cream-coloured at base and have dark red, feathered markings. Blooms in late April or early May. Height: 25 to 35 cm

‘Ice Cream' delicious new cultivar with fluffy, creamy white blossoms and a variegated calyx (whorl of sepals). Blooms in May. Height: 15 to 20 cm

‘Mount Tacoma' snow-white flowers sometimes have attractive red-and-green markings on petals. Blooms in late April or early May. Height: 25 to 40 cm

‘Uncle Tom' petals are very dark red, almost black. Blooms in late April or early May. Height: 40 to 45 cm
