Gwaenynog Hall: Beatrix Potter's inspiration

While most of us only revisit this perfectly pastoral land on the Wedgwood dishware given to us when we were born, only a small handful of us get the honour of stepping into the very setting that gave birth to the fictional friends we grew up with. Mr. McGregor’s garden was inspired by a real place. Those bunnies actually existed (although we’re not sure they cried, like Peter did, when they found the garden gates locked).
