Quatre Vents
Quatre Vents has been described as one of the "most aesthetically satisfying and horticulturally exciting landscape experiences in North America." These 28 acres of framed vistas, intimate spaces, whimsical follies and gorgeous combinations of plants was created by Francis H. Cabot, a legend among gardeners and author of The Greater Perfection—The Story of The Gardens at Les Quatre Vents. In 2005 Cabot was made an honorary Member of the Order of Canada for his work as a conservationist, horticulturist and philanthropist. Yet, this estate garden remains unknown to many Canadians.
