While I was visiting with Tam, there were lots of customers coming and going to purchase some of the gorgeous container arrangements and plants on display. Tam also showed me some interesting plants she was growing in the greenhouse, including a Kangaroo Apple and a South African gooseberry. I was sent home with a black cherry heritage tomato plant, which I eagerly planted in my veggie garden. Tam says she loves demystifying gardening for new customers. While her region doesn’t have the warmest climate (it’s about a zone 3), they do benefit from long light in the summer.
