Celebrate spring at the Canadian Tulip Festival

Besides the tulip plantings, there are lots of activities to involve both the young and the young at heart in the excitement. On opening night, the brand new Ottawa Convention Centre was the venue for the Tulip Ball, a black tie event featuring a spectacular fashion extravaganza unlike any other. As 900 guests sipped champagne, all eyes were on the elaborate ball gowns designed by floral artist Joel Marc Frappier and fashion designer Sylvie Bigras. The over-the-top creations were fashioned out of fresh flowers. Magnifique!
