Spring blooms
- In spring, when tulip shoots are up to about 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 inches) high, cultivate the soil around them to allow rainwater and air to penetrate.
After blooming
- As flowers fade, cut off the stem, but do not remove the leaves. The leaves will die back naturally (takes about four weeks). This enables the bulb to restore its energy to bloom again next year.
