EVENT: Credit Valley Horticultural Society's Annual Garden Tour

EVENT DETAILS: The Credit Valley Horticultural Society's Annual Garden Tour showcases gardens large and small with a rich variety of plants that can be grown by homeowners in southern Ontario.

EVENT: Magical Gardens of Leaside Tour

EVENT DETAILS:
Hosted by the Leaside Garden Society, the self-guided tour includes seven magical gardens. At each location you can talk with the gardeners, ask questions and share your delight. This year’s gardens promise an outstanding experience: vertical wall gardens, meandering stone pathways, an artist-designed water feature, climbing clematis, tranquil dining and entertainment spaces, gardens with mirrors, hidden corners and other touches of whimsy.

Passports are available at the Leaside Public Library on the day of the tour (165 McRae Drive) or can be purchased ahead at the following local merchants as of May 16: Gentry Clothiers - Sunnybrook Plaza, Royal LePage - 1391 Bayview Avenue, Stars - 900 Millwood Road, Urban Nature Store - 939 Eglinton Ave East (at Brentcliffe), Write impressions - 1515 Bayview Avenue, Wisey's Pies - 874 Eglinton Ave East (at Laird).

Flower Show rules and categories can be fairly confusing and even daunting to many people. This demonstration and discussion will help to clarify these rules (in accordance with the 2015 Flower and Vegetable Show Handbook) and show us how to put together prize winning entries for the Summer Flower and Vegetable Show, August 27, 2015.

EVENT: The Annual St.Thomas Garden Tour

JULY

EVENT: Guelph Horticultural Society's Garden Showcase 2015

DATE: July 5, 2015 from 1pm to 5:30pm
TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are available in advance from Royal City Nursery, Brock Road Nursery, or at any garden the day of the tour. $10 per person (children under 12 free; no pets please)

Come visit a lovely cross-section of eight unique outdoor spaces. Each garden will also feature a local artist and there will be refreshments and great door prizes. Please join us for a wonderful afternoon in some of Guelph's backyard secret gardens.

EVENT: Canadian Federation of University Women 16th Annual Town and Country Garden tour

EVENT DETAILS: “Please step into the garden!" The BHS invites you to tour eight lovely gardens, enhanced with horticultural displays, refreshments, and music. Meet local artists and select a treasure at the “artists’ garden”. Consult with Master Gardeners. Enjoy lunch at one of the fine restaurants offering discounts to tour participants.  Included is admission to historic Kawartha Settlers’ Village for tea and treats. Also at KSV, local growers and crafters will display their wares at our very own “gardeners’ market” 

EVENT: Gardens of Uxbridge 19th Annual Garden Tour organized by Community Care Durham

EVENT DETAILS: See 50 Shades of Green! Go ahead and indulge yourself by spending a day in spectacular gardens as Community Care Durham – Uxbridge hosts its 19th Annual Gardens of Uxbridge Garden Tour. This self-guided tour offers a variety of gardens, urban and rural.  Everyone can be enriched by participating in a garden tour, from the experienced gardener to the novice, and as well you are supporting a great cause! Tickets are $25, and include a delicious homemade box lunch to take on the road or enjoy at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre. Activities on the day include a raffle for a chance to win an amazing garden prize. Purchase by July 8 and be entered to win the Early Bird Draw, dinner for two at the Tin Mill Restaurant, Uxbridge.  Proceeds go to support the services of Community Care Durham.

EVENT DETAILS: The tour features 10 special gardens on a 60 km tour in scenic Caledon.  Big and small - we've covered them all. To enjoy the gardens, we suggest comfortable, flat shoes. Accompanied, supervised children are welcome and each garden will have a host and/or volunteer on site if you have any questions.
 
Our Garden Club meets the second Thursday each month - September to June at Cheltenham United Church, 14309 Creditview Road, Caledon (north of King Street).  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for refreshments - meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

This is one of our most popular yearly events, with participants creating a beautiful centerpiece or other Christmas arrangement to take home at the end of the evening. There will be a materials list for participants to bring and the cost of these materials is extra unless they are in your stash already.  Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on evening, right at the beginning of the Holiday season.
