Highlights from Canada Blooms 2010

There is no lack of botanical inspiration at this year's five-day extravaganza for gardeners

Down to Earth
This space, dubbed by its creators at Parklane Ltd. as 'a studio garden of earthly energy and edible plants' was brilliant. From the stone statues that guarded the green, sloped roof of the 'studio' to the whimsical garden, this unique space enchanted everyone who came upon it. The studio was a mud hut of sorts using a type of contruction called 'cob' which combines subsoil, clay, water, sand and straw. The inside was done up with cosy furniture. I imagine this would be a cool retreat on a hot summer day.
