Highlights from Canada Blooms 2010

There is no lack of botanical inspiration at this year's five-day extravaganza for gardeners

Toronto Botanical Garden's Edible Summer
What went in to the TBG's edible garden tableau is going right back to the TBG once Blooms has ended, from the raised garden beds, which will be reconstructed by the urban farming class to the giant rosemary bush, which belongs to horticultural director Paul Zammit himself. You can't get more eco-friendly than that! This cosy, whimsical space is another example of how edible plants can become a part of our landscapes, rather than living in a segregated plot. The garden is but a small taste of all the interesting events that will be happening this summer for the TBG's Edible Summer Festival.
