Highlights from the 2011 RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The M&G Garden represented a traditional kitchen garden with a twist. The garden was symmetrically designed as a traditional potager, but was comprised of planters. The raised beds filled with vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers, were built from willow topped with cedar. Terra cotta pots placed throughout the garden held fruit trees. In this garden, the cabbages and beans mixed happily with clematis and roses. The effect was magical and demonstrates how a traditional approach can be updated for a modern world.
